General FAQ.

  • Let’s have a chat in person or a video call online to get to know each other, discuss your wedding plans, and I can answer any questions you have!

Once you decide to move forward, I’ll send you an online contract to review and sign. A 50% retainer upon signing the contract confirms your booking, and the remaining payment is due one week ahead of your wedding day.

  • I’d love to meet before the wedding! If you live in Ottawa, I’d love to grab coffee and say hi! Otherwise I’d love to setup a video chat to go over details and say hello!

  • Of course! Travel up to 80km from downtown Ottawa is included in your package. For anything beyond that, there’s a travel fee of $1.00 per extra kilometre.

  • I do have a list of preferred vendor that I’d love to recommend. These are vendors I’ve worked with who are super talented and make the day run smoothly. I'm always happy to share it in our video call or during our in-person chat.

Film FAQ.

  • My filmmaking style is candid, documentary style filmmaking. This approach focuses on capturing the authentic emotions, natural interactions, and organic flow of events without directing or interfering with the couple, guests, or the day’s timeline.

I find that this style helps me to blend into the background, allowing moments to unfold naturally with minimal staged poses or forced direction. The couple and guests feel at ease, often forgetting the camera is there.

  • Absolutely! I can create a 15–20 second sneak peek video within 48 hours of your wedding, and once your full highlight film is complete, you'll also receive a version optimized for sharing on social media.

  • The videos are recorded in max resolution of 6.2K. Your Cinematic Highlight Film will be delivered in crisp 4K resolution. Full Ceremony & Speeches Videos are delivered in 1080p Full HD resolution for a beautifully balanced viewing experience.

  • Music plays a vital role in shaping the emotion and flow of your film, weaving the visuals and story into one cohesive piece. While we may start with a song that feels like the perfect fit, sometimes it doesn’t align quite as expected. For that reason, I kindly ask for your trust in allowing me to make the final music selection to ensure the film feels true, seamless, and cinematic.

With that said, I ask my couples about the artists and genres they love. It helps me to select music that aligns to your liking and craft a film that really feels like you.

  • To ensure clear and high-quality sound, I use a mix of lav mics, portable mics, shotgun mics, and audio directly from the DJ’s mixer.

  • Drone aerial coverage is included in all packages. Drone usage is dependent on several factors to ensure safety, compliance, and the best possible results. These factors include: weather conditions, venue restrictions, airspace regulations, safety concerns, and time constraints.

Please note that drone aerial coverage is offered as a complimentary addition and does not hold a monetary value within the wedding packages. No refunds, discounts, or compensation will be provided if I am unable to use the drone due to factors listed above.

If drone operation is not possible, I will ensure high-quality ground-level shots to maintain the cinematic beauty of your wedding film.

  • RAW Footage is included in the Timeless package. This is perfect for couples who want to have all recorded memories on hand, with the option to revisit or edit them in the future.

As part of the Timeless package, all your raw, unedited wedding footage will be carefully stored on an external hard drive, ensuring you have every moment captured in its purest form. Every recorded clip from your wedding day—including the full ceremony, speeches, reception events, candid moments and behind-the-scenes clips that might not make the final cut—will be transferred onto a high-quality external hard drive. The hard drive will be carefully packaged and be shipped via a reliable courier service.

  • The length of your highlight film can’t be easily predetermined because it’s shaped by the unique flow of your wedding day. Factors like the amount of footage captured, the key moments that unfold, and the music chosen all play a role in how the story comes together. Rather than setting a strict time limit, I focus on crafting a film that feels complete, emotional, and true to your day whether that means it's 4 minutes or 7. The goal is quality and storytelling over adding unnecessary footage to the film to meet the predetermined runtime.

  • For moments that deserve more time, extra coverage is available at $300 per hour.

  • You’ll receive your highlight film in a private online gallery, easy to watch on your phone, tablet, computer, or smart TV — wherever you love to relive your memories.

If part of your package, the full recordings of your ceremony and speeches will be included in your private gallery as well.

Also if part of your package, the RAW footage from your day is preserved on an external hard drive and mailed to you.

  • When it comes to analog film, both Super 8 and 16mm brings that nostalgic romantic look to your wedding highlight film.

Super 8 has that vintage, home-movie feel. It’s soft, grainy, and full of vintage charm.

But 16mm? Its in a league of its own.

With finer grain, richer tones, and sharper detail, 16mm film captures your day with a timeless, cinematic beauty. It’s romantic, but refined. Nostalgic, but elevated. It feels like a real movie. As a matter of fact, 16mm film has been used in Hollywood movies including:

    Moonrise Kingdom - Wes Anderson

    Black Swan - Darren Aronofsky

Super 16mm is available in the “Timeless” wedding film package.
